Colic and Chiropractic:

A research paper presented at the 1999 World Federation of Chiropractic Bi-Annual Assembly confirms previous research that children with colic respond very favorably to chiropractic care.

 

In August, 1989, the Journal of Manipulative & Physiological Therapeutics reported on a Danish study which found that 94% of a group of 314 children with infantile colic responded very favorably to Chiropractic care within 14 days of beginning care.

 

This study, performed in South Africa, found that 93% of the children studied experienced a complete resolution of colic within a two week period. The study also found that "no recurrence of the infantile colic was observed in any experimental infant in the intervening month between cessation of treatment and the follow-up telephone interview."
