Companies Reaping the Benefits of Chiropractic Wellness Programs
Firms of all sizes are realizing the benefits to employees and their bottom lines.

On-site chiropractic care at travel consultant Sabre Holdings has employees feeling fit and ready to work. Sabre Holdings, parent company of Travelocity.com, uses an on-site chiropractor as part of their wellness program.

Jennifer Korba, a Sabre Holdings employee who has been in a wheelchair for the past 26 years, credits the care she receives with keeping her off of the operating table. CEO Sam Gilliland, a marathon runner, says chiropractic keeps him running and helps keep company health costs down.

Gilliland explains that for every dollar they have invested in wellness, they have saved about three dollars. With a three hundred percent return on the company investment, it should come as no surprise that 78% of Fortune 500 companies offer wellness programs.

But it isn’t just the big companies that are seeing the wisdom in keeping employees healthy through chiropractic care and other wellness initiatives. 81% of American businesses with 50 or more employees now have some type of wellness program.

For a business to survive, much less be profitable in the current economic climate, it must trim costs and increase productivity. The skyrocketing cost of health care makes a corporate wellness program not only feasible, but profitable, in a world of ever tightening bottom lines.

Confirming Sabre Holdings CEO Gilliland’s assertions, a recent article in the American Journal of Health Promotions, stated that for every $1 spent on a corporate wellness program, a return of $2.13 to $10.10 can be expected through lower medical claims, reduced absenteeism, improved productivity, and other factors.

With results like that who can you afford not to have a corporate wellness program?
